Two versions of the Vasiṣṭha and Romaka Siddhāntas were known at the time of Brahmagupta (Śaka 550). The case of Romaka Siddhānta will automatically be considered along with the evidence on the basis of which it is to be proved that there were two kinds of Vasiṣṭha Siddhānta. Let both of them, therefore, be considered together.
