In the chapter on the ‘days of the week’ he remarks, “in this Ānandapura, the length of the shadow on the day of the equinox is 5·20 and the hypotenuse is 13·8”, which shows that this place of residence may be Ānand Pur : and this may be situated some where in latitude 24°.
