The editions printed in Bombay do not contain this chapter or these verses. The third chapter in it is headed, Rāśi Svarūpa, but that too does not contain these verses. The last chapter of the Tanjore version is entitled “Ariṣṭādhyāya ”, but it is the fifth chapter in the Bombay edition. It cannot be said with certainty if the Pārāśarī written before the time of Varāha is existent anywhere at present in its original form. Bhaṭotpala observes :—
