GUILANDINA BONDUCELLA, Linn. The properties of Bonduc nuts called पूतीकरञ्ज, *Putikaranja* in Sanskrit, and *Nátáka-* ranja in Bengali, are said to resemble those of the seeds of Pongamia glabra. Their antiperiodic virtues were not known to Sanskrit writers.
