ACACIA ARABICA, Willd. Sans. बब्बूल, Vabbula. Vern. Bábul, Beng. Hind. The tender leaves beaten into a pulp, are given in diarrhœa as an astringent. A decoction of the bark is used as an astringent gargle and wash. I have not met with any notice of gum acacia in Sanskrit works.
