² ayam agnir vaiśvanāro yo'yam antaḥ puruṣe yenedam annam pacyate yad idam adyate (V, 8, 1,). In the Chāndogya-up, it is the light of sky (divojyotis), equivalent to the fire, which is ahead of man (III, 13, 8).
