(vi) Undoubtedly Jai Singh possessed other astronomical works, but the only possible hints as to their identity are contained in the preface to his own catalogue where he mentions several astronomers by name. For example, he he not only mentions Naṣīr-al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī (born A.D. 1201) but also his commentator (Ali b. M.) al-Gurgānī. Naṣīr-al-Dīn was one of the greatest Muslim astronomers.
