v1.c11.10

These subjects are more elaborately discussed. Dhī-, dhṛti- and smṛti vibhramśa are subsumed under the term prajñāparādha (errors in judgment) (1.99–109).26 Natural (svābhāvika) diseases, like old age and death, belong, together with all the other disorders influenced by the time factor, to those caused by kālasamprāpti (1.110–155). Karman is the same as daiva (fate); diseases caused by karman are not amenable to treatment and subside only after the effects of karman are exhausted (1.116–117).27 Unsuitable contact with the objects of the senses (asātmyārthasamyoga) is illustrated by means of examples (1.118–128).
