v1.c11.31
After listening to this exposition by Ātreya, Bharadvāja asks a second set of questions, to which Ātreya replies again. The latter explains why living beings, man included, generate offspring of the same species as the parents,81 and why intellectual deficiency is not always of a hereditary character. He also clarifies the connections between the ātman and the senses (3.14–25).82
