The intake of aphrodisiacs (vṛṣya) accelerates the processes described. Some are of the opinion that the process of conversion of the bodily elements (parivartana) is completed in a period of six days; however, the transformational processes (parivṛtti) take place continually in a cyclic way (cakravat) (15.20–21).397
