P.V. Sharma79 expressed the opinion that Agniveśa’s treatise, written in sūtra style, was enlarged with Caraka’s annotations (bhāṣya).80 In his view,81 the Agniveśatantra may have resembled the Bhelasaṃhitā. He is inclined to attribute to Caraka passages in prose and verse that are composed in a mature style.82
