The editions of the Carakasamhitā give Ci.3.91–102 as part of the text and do not place it between brackets. Vijayarakṣita and Vācaspati538 regard these verses as belonging to the Kāśmīrapāṭha; Jejjata passes them over in silence; Cakrapāṇi may refer to them as read and explained by some, but superfluous in his view, which explains that he does not comment on them. 539 The thirteen saṃnipāta fevers characterized in Ci.3.90–102 are absent from the Suśrutasaṃhitā and Vāgbhaṭa’s works.
