v1.c21.112
The saṃhitā of Hārīta is referred to by Āḍhamalla,358 and in the Bṛhannighaṇṭuratnākara.359 Hārīta’s opinion on a particular subject is referred to by Vāgbhaṭa, next to that of Agniveśa.360 His weight as a medical authority appears from Hemādri’s commentary on the Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā361 and Kṣemaśarman’s Kṣemakutūhala,362 which give him the same status as Caraka and Suśruta.
