ŚIVADĀSASENA 497 wrote a commentary, called Carakatattvapradīpikā, 498 on the Carakasaṃhitā. 499 The part dealing with Sūtrasthāna 1.1 to 26.58 has been preserved, 500 but, originally, it must have covered the whole of the saṃhitā. 501
