ĪSĀNA or ĪSĀNADEVA 312 was a commentator on the Carakasamhitā. 313 A commentary (vyākhyā) by Īsāna is explicitly referred to in Śrīkanthadatta's commentary on the Siddhayoga. Niścalakara's quotations are for by far the larger part from a commentary on the Carakasamhitā.
