v1.c26.s17.56
Originally, Āśādhara lived in the central part of Rājasthān (Sapādalakṣa), in the town Maṇḍalakara (Maṇḍalgarh, in the Bhīlvārā district), in Śākambharī, the Cauhān kingdom. The campaigns of Muḥammad of Ghūr, and the accompanying Muslim atrocities, made him seek refuge in Dhārā, in Mālwā, in 1193, where he began his studies of grammar and logic. 106 Later, he moved to Nalakaccapura (Nālchā), about twenty miles from Dhārā, and remained there.
