A group of commentators quote from or refer to Saṃgraha and Hṛdaya, while the members of another group distinguish a Vṛddhavāgbhaṭa and Vāgbhaṭa. Aruṇadatta,³²⁷ Candranandana,³²⁸ Hemādri³²⁹ and Indu³³⁰ belong to the first group; Narahari, Niścala and Śivadāsasena belong to the second group.³³¹ This material from the commentarial literature does not give new clues to the date of the Saṃgraha.
