Suśruta is mentioned several times in the Saṃgraha. The opening chapter (Sū.1.11) refers to him as one of the authors of a tantra, which is a straightforward indication that some version of the Suśrutasaṃhitā was known to the author of the Saṃgraha.³⁵¹
