Noteworthy publications in Hindī are Atrideva Vidyālaṅkāra’s *Āyurved kā bṛhat itihās* (1960; second edition 1976), Kavirāj Vāgīśvar Śukla’s *Sacitra āyurved kā itihās* (1952; second edition 1978) and Kavirāj Sūramcandra’s *Āyurved kā itihās* (1952; second edition 1978). The books by Atrideva and V. Śukla are comprehensive and discuss a large proportion of medical literature, rasaśāstra included, while that by Sūramcandra is concerned with ancient authorities.
