After this long exposition of Ātreya, Agniveśa asks him to give an account of disagreeing (vairodhika) articles of food.496 Ātreya, complying with this request, says that substances may be antagonistic to constituents (dhātu) of the body due to their properties, combination, processing, nature (svabhāva), etc. As an example he mentions the combination of fish and milk.
