The other quotations from the specialist in kaumārabhṛtya called Kaśyapa cannot be traced in the preserved parts of the Kāśyapasaṃhitā, which, if the possibility that they are in toto from lost parts of the treatise is discarded, proves that a different version, no longer extant, has been current.
