Parts IV and V of the Bower MS have no relevance to medicine, being works on fortune-telling, a subject belonging to the province of jyotiṣa.⁹¹ Hoernle believed it to be probable that part V is one of the numerous recensions of the work on Pāsākakevalī, the divination by dice, ascribed to the ancient sage Garga,⁹² who is known as an authority on jyotiṣa.
