The discussion on the question which part of the embryo develops first is also found in the *Caraka-* and *Suśrutasaṃhitā*.²⁴ The account of the *Suśrutasaṃhitā* disagrees with the versions of *Bhela-* and *Carakasaṃhitā*, which are rather similar in the composition of the assembly²⁵ and the views expressed.²⁶
