Six of the eight chapters of the Śārīrasthāna bear names which are identical with or closely similar to those of corresponding chapters of the *Carakasaṃhitā*: 3 (asamānagotrīya; = Ca.Śā.2: atulyagotrīya), 4 (puruṣanicaya: = 5: puruṣavicaya), 5 (śarīranicaya; = 6: śarīravicaya), 6 (khuḍḍikā garbhāvakrāntiḥ; = 3), 7 (śarīrasaṃkhyā; = 7), and 8 (jātisūtrīya; = 8).
