v3.c42.s5.24

One of the chapters of the Sūtrasthāna (Sū.26: aṣṭodarīya) gives an idea of the contents of the *Bhelasaṃhitā* in its original, form. It enumerates, exactly like the corresponding chapter of the *Carakasaṃhitā* (Sū.19: aṣṭodarīya), the number of varieties of a long series of diseases. 45 Some diseases occurring in this list and not described in the preserved parts of the *Bhelasaṃhitā* are arbuda, bhagandara, ślīpada, upadaṃśa, and vidradhi.
