The structure of the Kāśyapa-saṃhitā resembles that of the Caraka- and Bhelasaṃhitā. The chapters begin with an announcement of Kāśyapa, who mentions the title of the chapter that he is going to expound. In many cases, it is Vṛddhajīvaka who puts questions to Kāśyapa, who, surrounded by other sages,³² gives his answers.
