The Kāśyapa-saṃhitā is written in a mixture of verse and prose. Verse prevails over prose in general; the Vimāna- and Śārīrasthāna are, as in the Carakasaṃhitā, mainly in prose, as are some stray chapters, such as the Revatīkalpa and chapter fifteen of the Khilasthāna; the single extant chapter from the Indriyasthāna is in verse.
