Govardhana is later than Amitaprabha 217 and the Mādhava who wrote the Yogavyākhyā. 218 D.Ch. Bhattacharyya 219 supposed Govardhana to be later than Vṛṇḍa and to be a contemporary of Cakrapāṇidatta. 220 Some clues in Niścala's Ratnaprabhā may point to Govardhana as an author who is later than Ravigupta, Jejjaṭa, Īśvarasena, Īśāna, and Gadādhara, but earlier than Mādhava, Cakrapāṇidatta and Bakula. 221
