A Guṇākara is quoted by Gopāladāsa,⁹⁹⁷ Nāganātha,⁹⁹⁸ Niścalakara,⁹⁹⁹ Vācaspati,¹⁰⁰⁰ and Vijayarakṣita.¹⁰⁰¹ The quotations by Niścalakara and Vijayarakṣita cannot be traced in the commentary on the *Yogaratnamālā* and may derive from a commentary on the *Carakasaṃhitā*¹⁰⁰² by a Guṇākara who evidently was a different person, since he lived a long time before his namesake.¹⁰⁰³
