A few medicinal substances, prescribed in the Bṛhadyogatarangiṇī, are absent from the nighaṇṭu chapters, e.g., ākalla (118.21), ākarakarabha (117.32), dvīpottharāsnā (91.86), 586 postaka (118.7), śaṅkhopala (117.37), and śivaliṅgī (139.18). Chapter forty-one does not mention zinc (yaśada) among the metals.
