*Date* Nārāyaṇa can be assigned to the sixteenth century, since he was the younger brother of Nāganātha and one of the teachers of Lakṣmaṇa Paṇḍita. This date is corroborated by his commentary on the Triśatī, because the latter work was written during the fifteenth century.
