The Bhūtiprakaraṇa of the Gorakṣasaṃhitā is mainly devoted to alchemy and the objectives of its quest: dehasiddhi and lohasiddhi; preparations which are curative of particular diseases are occasionally dealt with, for example in the amlavetasakalpa (7. 210cd–326).⁹
