The commentator Rāmasena, called Kavīndramaṇi,¹⁸⁵ was the court physician of Mīr Jāfar, the Nawab of Bengal (A.D. 1757–1762); he also commented on the *Rasendracintāmaṇi*. Rāmasena is quoted in Jīvānandavidyāsāgara's commentary.
