115 The commentator observes on the word cūrṇapradehāḥ (51.27cd) that Vṛnda explained it as cūrṇāni pradehāḥ ca. P.V. Sharma (AVI 211) regards it as probable that an author called Vṛnda wrote a commentary on the *Carakasaṃhitā*; in P.V. Sharma's view this Vṛnda differs from the author of the *Siddhayoga* and belongs to the eleventh century.
