The Sanskrit rendering of the Chinese title is Rāvaṇaproktabālacikitsā; the text was translated from Sanskrit into Chinese by Fa t'ien (Dharmadeva), who originally belonged to the monastery of Nālandā and went to China in A.D. 973 (see B.
