v4.c58.579

1113 G. Hāldār’s statements about Śārṅgadhara are contradictory; at one place (Vṛddhatrayī 467) he ascribes to Śārṅgadhara I, assigned to the thirteenth century, three medical works (*Śārṅgadharasaṃhitā*, Paryāyamanyarī, and Dhātumañjarī), whereas elsewhere (Vṛddhatrayī 468) he regards the *Śārṅgadharasaṃhitā* and Jvaratrisatī as written by Śārṅgadhara II, who lived in the thirteenth-fourteenth century. C. Dwarkanath (1991: 104) ascribes eight works on very diverse subjects to the author of the *Śārṅgadharasaṃhitā*.
