**Vairāgya.** *Vairāgya* (passionlessness) is defined as the consciousness (*saṁjñā*) of mastery of thirst (*tṛishṇā*) for seen (*dṛishṭa*) and unseen, revealed (*ānuśravika*) objects (*vishaya*).
