**3. Rāga.** It is passion, greed (*garddha*), thirst (*tṛishṇā*), or lust (*lobha*), for pleasure or the means of attaining pleasure on the part of one already acquainted with it. The passion for pleasure is roused in such a person by his recollection of pleasure previously experienced.
