Śavara Svāmī, however, holds a completely contrary view. He does not admit that a study of the Veda is at all a preparatory requisite for the study of *Mīmāṁsa*. In his view the *Mīmāṁsā* by itself is a self-sufficient system like *Yoga* and itself leads to a proper understanding of the Veda (Vedavākyānāṁ anekavidho vichāra iha vartishyate).
