Proceeding onwards, he found at Kauśāmbī the Ghochiravana Vihāra where Buddha formerly resided, still existing as of old, with "a company of monks there, most of whom are students of the Hīnayāna" (ib.), and, at a distance from it, another monastery "which may contain more than 100 monks" (ib.).
