The son of Jārakī and Nīlāmbara, the son of Kṛṣṇa of the Kauśikagotra, Gadādhara wrote a *Gadādharapaddhati* of which the first section is the *Kālasāra*. His father, Nīlāmbara, was the guru of Harekr̥ṣṇa Deva, rājā of Puri from 1715 to 1718. Manuscripts:
