v2.c10.288
In some manuscripts (Leipzig 1102) and printed editions a Mānasāgarī or Janmapatrikāpaddhati is ascribed to Kalyāṇa Ṛṣi. There are in it extensive quotations from and adaptations of the Vṛddhayavana-jātaka of Mīnarāja (fl. ca. 300), the Bṛhajjātaka and Laghujātaka of Varāhamihira (fl. ca. 550), the Ratnakośa of Lalla (fl. 748 ?), and the Ratnamālā and Śrīpatipaddhati of Śrīpati (fl. 1040). In one manuscript (IO 3096) an example is given for Saṃ. 1633, Śaka 14(98) = A.D. 1576, but this is probably from a commentary to an earlier source copied by Kalyāṇa. Toward the end of the VSG edition occurs the verse (p. 486):
