The son of Rādhāvallabha, the son of Rāmakṛṣṇa, and a Pāścātya Vaidika Brāhmaṇa, Kāśīrāma was patronized by Gopālasimha, the rājā of Malla in Bankura. He wrote commentaries on many of the works of Raghunandana Bhaṭṭācārya (fl. 1520/1570), including these relating to time:
