Also known as Karpūracanda and Karpūravijaya, Cidānanda composed a Svarodayaśāstra in Gujarātī (sometimes identified as Hindī); the date of composition is variously given as Saṃ. 1907 = A.D. 1850 and Saṃ. 1975 = A.D. 1918, but the existence of manuscripts copied before 1918 seems to decide decisively in favor of the earlier date.
