The son of Govinda (b. 2 October 1569), the son of Nīlakaṇṭha (fl. 1569/87), the son of Ananta (fl. ca. 1575), the son of Cintāmaṇi of the Gārgyagotra, Cintāmaṇi completed a ṭīkā, *Sammaticintāmaṇi*, on the *Muhūrtamālā* of Raghunātha (fl. 1660) at Kāśī on 15 śuklapakṣa of Śrāvaṇa in Saṃ. 1718 = 31 July 1661 during the regn of Aurangzīb (1658/1707).
