A resident of Kāśī, and the pupil of Rāmānanda, and the teacher of Dharmadāsa, Kabīradāsa was born in Saṃ. 1455 = A.D. 1398 and died in Saṃ. 1505 = A.D. 1448. He wrote in Hindī the following two works on jyotiṣa.
