The son of Varadārya or Varadarāja of the Atrigotra, Devarāja wrote a Kuṭṭākāraśiromaṇi explaining the algebra of Āryabhaṭa (b. 476). He also wrote a ṭīkā on this, the Mahālakṣmīmuktāvalī, in which he mentions Bhāskara (b. 1114). Manuscripts:
