Jyotihshastra: Astral and Mathematical Literature c5.s1.37

c5.s1.37

The second Āryabhaṭa included two chapters on mathematics in the MS that he wrote in about 950–1000. Adhyāya 15, the pāṭyadhyāya, deals with the traditional topics of arithmetic and geometry in 120 verses, while adhyāya 18, the kuṭṭakādhyāya, discusses the pulverizer, of whose use it gives many examples, in 70 verses. This treatment is clearly modelled on the BSS.
