In 1167, during the reign of the Caulukya Kumārapāla (ca. 1143–1172), at Campāvatī (presumably Chātsu south of Jayapura in Rājasthān rather than Chaul south of Bombay in the Koṅkaṇa), a Jaina of the Kāśahradagaccha, Naracandropādhyāya⁵⁷ wrote a Beḍājātaka,⁵⁸ which is a *vṛtti* in verse on his own Janmasamudra. In eight *kallolas* it treats the astrology of conception, birth, congenital faults, death, *rājayogas*, other *yogas*, and *strījātaka*.
