As in many other fields, so in muhūrta Keśava of Nandigrāma wrote an important work, the Muhūrtatattva.²⁷ His son, Gaṇeśa, dutifully wrote a ṭīkā, the Muhūrtadīpikā, at Nandigrāma before 1554. Another ṭīkā was written by Viśvanātha in the early seventeenth century; the oldest dated manuscript was copied in 1637. Probably also in the early sixteenth century Kāśīnātha²⁸ composed his very successful Śīghrabodha,²⁹ of which the earliest dated manuscript was copied in 1559. Probably also to be dated in the early sixteenth century is the brief Bālavivekinī or Pañcavimśatikā³⁰ of Nāhnidatta;³¹ the earliest dated manuscript of it was copied in 1589.
